Creative visionary Lucas Leverett has been a frequent steward of household brand names in his native Nashville, prior to relocating to Grand Rapids, MI. He is a cultivator of successful creative and marketing teams – crafting and advancing brand experiences for nearly twenty years through award-winning, collaborative, growth-focused achievements. His background in both B2B and B2C markets encompasses design, technological and business proficiency, spanning the marketing, advertising and creative landscape. Lucas champions award-winning team and project successes with nimble strategy, imagination, determination, intuition and limitless creativity.
By force of will, he forwards ideas big and small toward bold goals – with an affinity for fruitfully audacious disruptions to the status quo. True to his Music City roots, Mr. Leverett lives a handful of lives: from his professional work to his spare time conjuring up events filled with superheroes, spacemen and zombies.
Lucas has been called the “Archgeek of Nashville” due to his role as a founder and chief executive of several area pop-media events, putting Tennessee on the map in the scene. After initially creating various assets for the event at its formation, Lucas accepted an invitation to join the distinguished TEDx Nashville Society of Fellows, as well as the annual event’s Leadership Team. Mr. Leverett masterminded the framework for the first non-profit organization for the “geek arts” – ArtsCubed – which produced two weekend festivals, MTAC and GMX, for over 15 years. He led the acquisition and revitalization of the Nashville Zombie Walk, twice, each time establishing this popular food drive for Second Harvest Food Bank Of Middle Tennessee as a prolific and festive benefit event. Mr. Leverett has also contributed his talents to the expansion of the Maker movement in Nashville, and the inspiration of young minds through his role as a co-founder the hugely-successful Nashville Mini Maker Faire, where he served as an organizer for its first five years.
Continuing to guide geek-community events to greatness, Lucas joined the board of the annual Hypericon event in Nashville, and served as Creative Director for three years – showing them the keys to success in fandom gatherings. He has continued as a “geek culturalist,” contributing to various organizations and journalistic projects, including serving as Senior Editor of multi-subject blog The Stump. His lifelong geek-loves include Transformers, Batman, and Star Trek, on which he maintains subject-matter expertise, in addition to his portfolio of successful “geek brand” projects.
For his entire career, Lucas has served in roles involving direct accountability to executives and owners. His passion and vision have propelled him as a Creative Agent Provocateur and Impresario of Ideas. His dynamic approach to both traditional and new media has positioned him uniquely among his peers to meet the ever-changing landscape of trends and brands. His balance of creative idealism with practical and driven leadership have proven to be a cornerstone of his success and the accomplishments of his teams. Mr. Leverett is as comfortable at the head of the board room table as he is in a hands-on project role or on a stage.

A twenty year veteran marketing and branding professional, Lucas is suited to serve as a team member, manager or executive leader. He is an excellent writer for various applications, including SEO, copywriting and media scripts. Comfortable at the podium or in the spotlight, his strong live presentation, event coordination and showmanship skills are a near-equal match for his eye for media design in all formats. Most recently, he has honed his voiceover and narration skills, truly rounding out his one-man-show status in creative production.
